Chad Wales is a licensed South Carolina realtor and active real estate
investor specializing in downtown Charleston and Mt. Pleasant.
After living in Michigan, Chicago, and San Francisco, he and his wife
relocated to Charleston in 2020. They began investing with a 3-unit
building in Chicago and grew their portfolio strategically. Chad holds a
B.S. in Aviation Flight Science from Western Michigan University and an
M.S. in Business Information Technology from DePaul University. His
background includes roles at PNC Bank, Groupon, GrubHub,
Apartments.com, and Salesforce.
In Charleston, they purchased a duplex, completed a live-in flip while
Airbnbing the lower unit, and 1031-exchanged their Midwest rentals here.
They now operate The Charleston Suites, a successful short-term rental
business.
Faith and family are central: active at Seacoast Church in Mt. Pleasant
with their three children (ages 3, 6, 8). Chad enjoys boating, fishing, the
beach, and travel.
