A Charleston's Favorite Shrimp & Grits!

There are many recipes for Shrimp & Grits. My favorite one personally of all time is this one. Not only mine, but friends of mine agree as well. This recipe is cooked and served with Yellow Stone Grits, covered with Gravy, and topped with Bacon and Chives. The Gravy has Multi Color peppers, andouille sausage, onions, and garlic. I finally top it with Bacon and Chives! 

 

If you have friends that don’t like peppers and you want them to try it with your Shrimp & Grits, then I recommend you sauté the peppers and then add them to the gravy. This is a way to have others try different food they have not tried before. Some individuals think of not liking previous recipes due to some ingredients, which can be true. It can be due to allergies or texture. It doesn’t mean they won’t like it or don’t like it.
