Closing gifts aren’t just for realtors. I have found that when you say, “Thank you” by way of a gift to clients, you have a high percentage of return business.

The gift should be useful and something that shows your appreciation. It should let the Buyer or Seller know that you look forward to working with them again. Something personal is always a great idea, but other items are just as thoughtful.

I recommend the gift be a percentage of the closing commission you earned from their business. A range of no less than 1% to 5% of the gross commission should be the standard cost for the gift.
