Fizzy Business Pays it Forward to James Island

The Cannonborough Beverage Company, located at 1750 Signal Point Road on James Island, has always had a vision for using as many locally sourced products as possible, such as fruits, herbs, and spices.

Now, cofounders Matt Fendley and Mick Matricciano, have furthered their mission to support the local economy and give back to the community that has supported their business since its inception nine years ago. A portion of their upcoming expansion will be allocated to an area for other food production businesses.

The space, when completed, will house a commissary kitchen to be used by the next generation of Charleston Food Entrepreneurs. Agricultural Commissioner Hugh Weathers praised the effort stating, "This is a great example of the teamwork that makes agribusiness our state's Number One industry".
