HAUSFUL

 

If you have driven down Sam Rittenburg in the past six months and wondered about the new business that is in the old Pier One Imports location, prepare to be delighted! I stopped in a few weeks ago and have since fallen in love with the building's new occupant, Hausful. The brainchild of creative couple Becky and Carl Hoppmann, Hausful aims to fill a void in the Charleston market for beautiful, modern, Scandinavian style.

 

 

Though the Hoppman's initially launched their business in 2017 at another location, Becky knew that the former Pier One space would allow them to expand their offerings and showcase even more wonderful finds to their clients, who were desperate for sleek, clean design. When the retail space became available, the entire family pitched in to retrofit the 8,000 square foot building, opening their doors on September 1st, 2021. (Coincidentally Ottohaus, a German Auto Repair Shop that specializes in Audi, Volkswagen, Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW automotive services, was to be their next-door neighbor!)

 

 

 

 

In addition to an inviting and soothing showroom, Becky offers in-house design consultation. Not sure how that beautiful leather sofa will fit in your living room?
