Twenty minutes from Charleston lies the area’s newest coastal retreat, Kiawah River. It’s a welcome reprieve from life’s stresses with its gorgeous vistas and coastal aesthetic. Oak trees sway in the sea breezes and egrets make their home in this community’s plentiful waterways.
As you enter the neighborhood, you’re greeted by rows of palm trees and sun-saturated pink muhly grass. On either side of the road are fields of fresh crops and farm animals, giving the community a pastoral feel. Soon a bevy of white clapboard houses come into view.
