Blog > Mt Pleasant’s New York Butcher Shoppe
If you didn’t already know, New York Butcher Shoppe opened a north Mt Pleasant location. It opened on June 7th this year so it’s been around a couple of months. It opened north of Hwy 41 off of N Hwy 17, in The Market at Oakland, across from East Bay Deli.
If you want a good old reliable butcher, not a grocery store that has a butcher, give this place a try. You will love their selection of meats including around a dozen different cuts of beef, pork, veal, lamb, specialty sausages, and of course chicken. Yes, they specialize in meat and they give it the attention it deserves with a properly educated staff.
Although meat is the star of this show, you can’t miss out on the other items this place has to offer. If you don’t feel like preparing your own meat tonight, wander over to the refrigerated cases where you can choose from a variety of pre-cooked meals such as chicken parm, manicotti, and beef stroganoff. There are also uncooked options including Goat Cheese Chicken, Bacon Stuffed Pork Chops, and fresh pasta! Balance your meal with a side of mac & cheese or grilled vegetables. The pre-cooked meals and sides all take around 20-40 minutes in the oven and come in aluminum trays that can go straight in after removing the plastic lid. I only took a couple of items home, but I promise you I wanted to walk out with my arms full! I was thrilled with the items I did sample and I will be going back for more when I need a quick option. Check out the menu HERE
One thing I didn’t sample because I was trying to be good, was dessert. Yes, you can get an entire pre-made meal from entree to dessert not to mention beverages! You could just grab a bag of cookies, but why do that when they have options like Heath Bar Crunch Brownies, Carrot Cake, Reese Peanut Butter Pie, and more!
If you want to take a quick look at what they have, stop in or visit their website at nybutcher.com. On top of Mount Pleasant, they also have locations in IOP, Daniel Island, and Summerville. I work in all these cities, so you could also give me a call, and I’ll treat you to dessert while we chat about the real estate market. You’ll just be giving me one more good reason to try that peanut butter pie!
