Sushi Paradise Found

Coming from LA, I struggled in Charleston to find good sushi.

I could find BBQ 'sushi', steak 'sushi', and other varieties that appealed to southern clientele but nothing that matched what I was used to having in Los Angeles.  Until I walked into 167 Sushi Bar.

167 Sushi Bar excels where other restaurants struggle and delivers on quality, ambiance, and overall vibes. Recently I popped in and had another excellent meal. Usually, I'll begin with a server-recommended saki but this time I opted for a crisp, white wine to balance the delicate seafood flavors.  I started with one of my favorites - the urchin or uni as it's called in sushi joints. The uni melts in your mouth in one delicious bite of salty velvet.  I then progressed to their crab rangoon futomaki.  The delicate crab gets a jolt from chili jam and crunchy potato sticks for one unbelievably satisfying roll.
