Agaves Cantina – Mount Pleasant

One of our favorite local restaurants is Agave Cantina in Mount Pleasant. It is located on the North end of Highway 41, towards the Wando River, in the Lowes Foods shopping center. It is convenient to the Planter’s Pointe, Dunes West, Park West, and Rivertowne neighborhoods. My wife and I live in Planter’s Pointe and will walk or ride our bicycles there.

We have eaten there several times since they opened a couple of years ago. They offer a full menu of Mexican food and I have never had a bad meal. I especially like the Chimichangas and the Steak Jalisco. Either meal is large enough to share, especially if you enjoy an appetizer and the chips and salsa beforehand.

The staff at Agaves is friendly and helpful and follow the CDC guidelines, as far as I could tell. The restaurant also offers outdoor dining and takeout.

We enjoy Agaves and try to get there often. If you see us there, be sure to say, “Hey.”
