Blog > Brickyard Plantation and the Lowcountry Strawberry Festival
One of the perks to living in the highly sought after community of Brickyard Plantation is your proximity to Boone Hall Plantation.
Boone Hall Plantation is the host of many family-friendly events such as the much anticipated Low Country Strawberry Festival. The Strawberry Festival runs for four days and will take place April 25-April 28th. The festival which attracts thousands of visitors to the Charleston area each year is one of the largest in the state.
Some of the featured attractions include a petting zoo, pig races, acrobatic dog shows, a three-story slide tower, inflated jump houses, and even a pie eating contest. In addition, you will find more than 20 festival rides and brand new to this year will be a giant rock climbing wall. The miss Berry Princess Contest and the Mr. John Deere contest are popular events if you have a little one age 4-6. Of course not to be upstaged, for the main attraction you will find rows of u-pick strawberries for as long as they are available.
