If you live in Charleston or are just visiting, one thing you should make a point to do is visit a Farmer's Market. BUY LOCAL is heard quite often in Charleston. From Farm to Table is another phrase you'll hear. Many Charleston restaurants are supporting Local Farmers on a daily basis. They make use of what's in season for the freshest ingredients.
There are many farmer's markets in Charleston such as Downtown's Marion Square, Daniel Island, James Island, Johns Island and Folly Beach to name a few. To see the locations, days and hours you can check out this link: Charleston's Farmer's Market Locations
This Saturday, August 5th the NEW James Island Farmer's Market will be featuring a new vendor. Moss Farms is joining the market with their local honey. Along with the honey for sale, they'll have dog treats, human treats and their daughter, Natalie aka the #beekeepersdaughter will be making a special guest appearance! The location is 871 Fort Johnson Rd. on James Island from 9am - 1pm. I hope to meet you there!
