Coming Soon to Downtown Charleston

The Downtown Charleston real estate market remains to be a hot market. One reason is because of the limited space to build or expand on the peninsula. The next reason is because of the lack of enough active listings for the number of interested buyers. It's a simple case of supply and demand.

Many agents are advertising 'coming soon' listings because they know there are buyers out there that have seen the few homes on the market and those homes aren't checking all of the boxes. The coming soon listings usually sell before or immediately upon being listed for sale.

I have a 'coming soon' listing. It's located in the North Central neighborhood. It is a three bedroom, two and a half bath with a fenced front yard and a privacy fenced backyard. The back yard has a small deck off of the kitchen, a cement slab patio, a natural stone patio and a grassy area. 

Something most downtown homes don't have is a driveway. Most homes only have street parking. There are some with off-street parking and only a few homes that have a garage. My coming soon listing has a 2 Car Garage which sets it apart from the competition. It's a newer home, built in 2014. While it doesn't have the charm of an older home, it also doesn't need any updating. And a 2 Car Garage is space that can also become an ADU, additional dwelling unit. It can be a long or short term rental income for the new owner!
