Heavy winter coat vs T-shirt

Haha..today I am writing about how a Charlestonian prepared for a trip to Fort Wayne, Indiana in the middle of December.

If you have been living here in Charleston SC for quite some time, your blood has thinned out and you know what weather to expect. You enjoy at least 60F during the month of December, sometimes even warmer and most comfortable.

That of course are the days we send messages to our friends and family who live in colder climates and we show off our happy dance around the Christmas tree in t-shirts and shorts.

Not so this year for me.

Traveling to Fort Wayne, Indiana in December meant scarf, sweater, down jacket, gloves, long johns (yup), ear muff and hat. Thankfull for Goldwill stores, Consignment shops and friends and after two days, I had all my gear together.

And so I am here, all bundled yup,  -1 F and dreaming of flip flops, reading posts and greetings from my friends who tease me with pictures of them frolicking around d'town Charleston and at the beach at Sullivans island.
