Holiday Festival of Lights

One of Charleston's most beloved family traditions is the James Island Holiday Festival of Lights.

Beginning November 15th-December 31st, at James Island County Park, you can enjoy a spectacular three-mile display of lights without having to exit your warm and toasty car. Named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society in 2018, this magical drive-through light show is sure to make lasting family memories.

For those who wish to explore outside of their car, the festival provides a plethora of outdoor holiday activities. Roast your own marshmallows over the flames of an open fire at one of the marshmallow roasters located throughout Santa's Village. Or enjoy a festive train ride for an up-close view of the lights. The little ones can even enjoy a free visit with Santa Sun-Thu 6-9:00pm and Fri & Sat 6-10:30pm. Other highlights include a carousel ride, climbing wall, and interactive Christmas tree light display.

The Festival of Lights is open Sunday-Thursday 5:30-10:00pm and Friday & Saturday 5:30-11:00pm. Admission is $20 per vehicle and $15 per vehicle Mon-Thu with a donation of a canned food item.
