You like Blues ?! Well, then come out and enjoy !
In my last blog, I introduced JoJo Wall, one of the many amazing musicians here in our beautiful area.
So, today I want to give you some tips where you can listen to Blues at its finest and in places, you might not know about, or might not find on your own or feel too scared to go to. But trust me, this are all very cool places and even cooler people, friendly and helpful and excited to play music, and they all embrace you with open arms. You can find friends here for life. Much like you become friends for life here when moving to our "Low Country". The living is easy with our beaches, historic d'town Charleston, charming Summerville, prosperous North Charleston, hipp and hot West Ashley, and all the towns around. We have islands and beaches too ! Here you can find a home for any budget, to buy , to lease or to invest in.
The Lowcountry Blues Club was founded in 2007. Its goal is to support, preserve and promote blues music. They have weekly "Open Jams", provide community education and play at community events. They go to and participate in award shows like "The Road to Memphis". For more info, go to: www.lowcountrybluesclub.org
So, where can you listen to Blues:
Sundays: 5pm to 9pm @ Smokey's Place, 1213 Remount Road, N.Charleston
1st Wednesday of the month: 8pm to 12pm @ Home Team BBQ, 1205 Ashley River Rd, West Ashley
2nd Wednesday of the month: 8pm to 12pm @ Blues Cajun Kitchen, 815 Folly Rd, James Island
3rd Wednesday of the month: 8pm to 12pm @ Two Keys Tavern, 650 College Park Rd, Goose Creek
4th Wednesday of the month: 8pm to 12pm @ Smoke BBQ, 713 Coleman Blvd, Mt. Pleasant
