James Island County Park is located on beautiful James Island @ 871 Riverland Dr.

Home to the Festival of Lights that draws thousands of people and groups from all over the state to come to see the miles of Christmas lights and other Christmas displays. Also on hand is a train to ride, an open smores pit and also a visit from the jolly fella himself, Santa Clause!

Besides this spectacular event that has put this park on the map, the park also offers a variety of other things to do throughout the year. The park is open year round and admission allows you to enjoy an open grassy area, Saltwater fishing and crabbing from a dock that gives access to the Stono River, picnic spots with tables and grills, a spray fountain, miles of paved trails for walking or biking, a dog park, sand volleyball court and horse shoe pits just to name some activities to do while visiting.

There are also several amenities for an additional fee. This includes 124 site campground, 10 cottages for rent along the river. South Carolina's tallest outdoor climbing wall, Splash Zone water park, The Challenge course for team building and learning purposes, 18 hole disc golf, bicycle, pedal boat and kayaks for rent, covered shelters and meeting and reception area rentals as well.
