There are many here and not too far away to make it a nice day or a little weekend adventure! See below a list of Oktoberfest events in South Carolina! (There could be more, so please double check location and dates !)
SpartOberfest - Spartanburg, SC - Sep 14 to Sep 16, 2017: Lots of Germans live in this area and so you can bet, it will be authentic with amazing food and beer and dancing and music. Hope you make it to this pretty town in the Upstate!
Summerville Rotary Oktoberfest - Charleston, SC - Sep 30, 2017: This is a fun Oktoberfest with games, food, beer and music hosted by the Summerville Oakbrook Rotary Club and the Summerville Evening Rotary Club. There will be several contests incl. the famous "chicken dance", and beer stein hoisting, brat eating, best beer belly and best German costume. Admission is just $5.00 and kids are free
Aiken Oktoberfest - Aiken, SC - Sep 30, 2017
Celebrating Oktoberfest with German-inspired food, beer vendors, authentic Bavarian Band and of course also local music.
Soca City Oktoberfest - Columbia, SC - Sep 30, 2017: This is a huge festival with all the German traditions and food and games. Definitely, will spoil your diet! So, don't even worry about it and enjoy the hardy German cuisine.
Oktoberfest at NOMA Square - Greenville, SC - Oct 5 to Oct 8, 2017:
NOMA Square will be transformed into a Bavarian Biergarten during a free 4-day community celebration. Includes German food such as grilled bratwurst, pretzels with beer cheese & mustard, Sauerbraten and more! Beers including Paulaner’s Munich Lager, and Hefe-Weizen. Games and contests including cornhole, and certainly the popular chicken dance, and Stein carrying and drinking competition. There is also a Bratwurst-eating contest and great prizes to win.
Newberry Oktoberfest - Newberry, SC - Oct 7, 2017:
Celebrate Newberry’s German Heritage with a festival featuring lots of authentic German cuisine, German and domestic Biergarten, classic cars, and plenty of art & craft vendors. The Octoberfest stage will feature polka music, a best German Outfit contest, and SC’s own Swingin’ Medallions! There will also be kids rides, craft, and fun zone!
Oktoberfest Columbia - Columbia, SC - Oct 13 to Oct 15, 2017:
This Columbia Oktoberfest will have authentic German food, live Bavarian bands and lots of beer. Lots of fun and entertainment including the German Friendship Folk Dancers, the Walhalla Bavarian Dancers, The German Connection Band and Die Lustigen Musikanten. Can't have a fest without wiener schnitzel, and German brats, sauerkraut, and spaetzle! Local and German beer! Location: 3005 Devine Street, Columbia, SC 29205
Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest - Myrtle Beach, SC - Oct 13 to Oct 14, 2017:
The annual Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest takes place at the Market Common. German food, Oktoberfest beer, live German music on Saturday and Sunday, adult fun and kids game and many activities incl. pumpkin patch for kids, face painting, inflatables, and Oktoberfest steins and of course amazing food and German beers.

Oktoberfest Charleston - Charleston, SC - Oct 14, 2017
The Community Outreach center at St. Matthew’s Lutheran church is having an Oktoberfest fundraiser in the afternoons of Oct. 7 & 8,2017 from 3:00-8:00
Walhalla Oktoberfest - Walhalla, SC - Oct 20 to Oct 22, 2017:
This annual South Carolina Oktoberfest in Walhalla will entertain with live music, food, Oktoberfest dancers, various carnival rides, and an arts and crafts shows. Kids ride the carnival rides all day on Sunday for only $12! Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-10. Location: Sertoma Field Walhalla, SC 29691
Greer Station Oktoberfest - Greer, SC - Oct 21, 2017:
Two stages will be loaded with German bands, German food, and Warsteiner beer. Local artists work will also be on display in downtown Greer. Enjoy foods like knackwurst, bratwursts, fresh pretzels, kettle corn and lots more. One can sample a large selection of German beers and wines.
