Blog > Mathis Ferry Communities in Mt. Pleasant Part III
The third part of the series of Mt. Pleasant Communities brings us along Mathis Ferry Road from the Ravenel Bridge to the East Cooper Hospital.
The communities vary in price range as one side of the road is on the water and or marsh. Of course, these homes are higher priced and we don't see many homes being sold. People know they have a good thing and hold on to it. Location, location, location! Remley's Point has exquisite homes though nothing is available right now. The last home sold for $1,225,000. As exclusive as it is, you wouldn't think it had a public boat ramp but it does. It seems to be the hot spot to launch your boat for local Cooper River and Wando River fishing.
Another neighborhood along Mathis Ferry is I'on. I'on is fashioned after the traditional Charleston single homes. The homes are purposely close together. There are wonderful restaurants and shops. The I'on Club features clay tennis courts, aquatics, and fitness center. The homes start in the $700s and go up to just over $2 million dollars. Olde Park homes start at $1 million and up. If you're asking if there are lower-priced homes...there are. As I mentioned, there are many communities across the other side of Mathis Ferry.
Some of the other communities are Heron Pointe, Somerset Point, Wakendaw Lakes. I've attached a link for available homes in these neighborhoods: Available Homes There are also vacant land lots in some of these communities so you can build your own custom home. I can share all the available lots with you if you prefer to build.
