Mt Pleasant Subdivisions - Have you seen?

The Charleston Tri-County area is set up in subdivisions within each town. This was noticeable to me when I moved here 10 years ago from New Jersey. In NJ the towns didn't have subdivisions. There was a 'center' of each town but that was about the extent of it. 

I've attached a few photos of the many subdivisions in Mt. Pleasant. You can see some are quite small and others are very large. Most have amenities such as neighborhood pools, tennis courts, walking/jogging paths, gym type workout rooms and more. 

This means that each subdivision has a Home Owners Association or HOA. And with that comes an HOA FEE. The costs are based on the amenities and common areas that have landscaping that needs to be maintained.  Single-family homes pay a yearly fee while condos and townhouses pay a monthly fee.
