Not for Lazy Ones - THANKSGIVING Activities in Charleston!

Here is an almost complete list of things to do in and around Charleston SC:

Nov 21, 2018  9am to 6pm
5th Annual "Turkey Day Climb-the-Wall" at Wild Blue Ropes Aventure Park, 1595 Highland Avenue, James Island
A fun event for young and old (if you have still good knees)  & family 

Nov 21, 2018  9am to 6pm
Harvest Hangout
Wild Dunes Resort, @ 1 Sundial Circle on the Isle of Palms
A family-friendly event with games and at sunset, one can watch "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" movie. There will be a southern dinner buffet with typical Lowcountry food, such as shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and warm bread pudding.

Thanksgiving Golf Cart Parade
Palmetto Drive at Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms
The parade starts in front of the Swim Center and is organized by the Isle of Palms Fire Department. Santa Claus will also be there.

Fall Festival
Night Heron Park Pavilion, 4000 Sea Forest Park at Kiawah Island
This is a children event at Kamp Kiawah with games and food and live music.

Nov  22, 8:30am – 4pm
Turkey Trot
Sanctuary Beach Access, 1 Sanctuary Drive at Kiawah Island
The annual fun run/walk on the beach! One can register at the beach at 8:30 am at the Sanctuary Beach Access. One can either walk a mile or run 3 miles on the beach.

4th annual night Heron Park Turkey Hunt at Heron Park on Kiawah Island
Everyone who wants to come shall gather and split into groups to search for Turkeys hidden in the park. Like an Easter egg hunt! Fun Fun Fun!

39th Annual Turkey Day Run & Gobble Wobble d' town Charleston at Marion Square
This run starts at 10am and the run starts at 11:30am at Marion Square, goes towards Meeting St, the Battery, along King Street and back to Marion Square. There is, as every year,  an after-party with live music, free beer, and plenty of great food! There is also a run for kids which starts at 10am ! 

Besides all of the above, there many restaurants open which offer family activities, Thanksgiving buffets, walking in the gardens of our many plantations and even several harbor cruises are ready to tour you around the Charleston harbor.
