Tupelo entranceWith the vast number of charming subdivisions in Mount Pleasant, it is easy to overlook what I consider one of the towns hidden gems.

The subdivision of Tupelo, located up Highway 17 just North of Carolina Park, has all of the features that appeal to both young families and retirees alike. Developed in 2013, Tupelo offers newer construction midsize homes at some of the most affordable prices you will find in Mount Pleasant.

This exceptionally family friendly neighborhood embodies a true sense of community.

Driving through the streets you are almost guaranteed to see children at play, people walking their dogs and neighbors chatting on their front porches. Tupelo offers a beautiful community pool with child-friendly zero-depth entry. In addition, there is a grilling area and covered space with indoor/outdoor fireplace built in 2016. You will also find wooded hiking trails and several ponds. Tupelo feeds into some of the top schools in Mount Pleasant including the brand new Carolina Park Elementary.

Currently, there are nine homes on the market in Tupelo ranging in price from 349K-444K. There are three subsections: Tupelo Plantation, Tupelo Forrest, and Tupelo Branch Row. If you are looking for brand new construction, Tupelo Branch Row features new homes built by Cal Atlantic and Lennar builders.
