PODS - Make sure you read the fine print!

Have you ever considered using Portable On Demand Storage (PODS) when moving or storing excess items? A client of mine was moving out of state and decided this would be the best option as she hadn't finalized the exact location or home she wanted to purchase. After several months she purchased her new home and called to have her items delivered only to be told the company did not deliver to that zip code! The company said this was in the contract. Her belongings were one hour away and she could rent a truck unload the pods and load the truck. Fortunately, she found a location 30 minutes away that would allow the truck to bring the pods and then she was able to hire someone to help unload the pods onto a truck and deliver her belongings to her new home. This did cost her additional money she did not plan on but she did successfully get her belongings to her new home.

I am sharing this to make sure when you hire a company, you ask questions, read the contract thoroughly and know that you are making the best decision for your moving needs so the whole transaction is as stress-free as possible!
