Shrimping Season is here !

It’s shrimp season in South Carolina !  How lucky are we to live right here where the shrimp are the freshest , sweet and plentiful.

There are 3 shrimp seasons in SC, early spring to May,  late June thru August and September through December. So pretty much all year round, one can enjoy fresh local shrimp, either by catching it, or buying it on the many local road stands of locals who sell their catch and are eager to give tip and recipes for preparation or simply go to the many restaurants who serve local shrimp only in support of the local fishing industry. 

There are many neighborhoods here in the Charleston area alongside creeks, rivers, and ocean front and an abundance of fishing piers, parks and tackle shops. One can even rent of boat to go fishing or book a deep water fishing trip and experience with local fishermen and boat operators. 

So come to Charleston, SC and enjoy a wonderful rich region with beaches, marshland, creeks, rivers, fishing piers and parks, hidden islands and nature preserves. Your life will slow down just a little but your heart will jump with joy.
