So much more than a Farmer's Market

All over Charleston you'll see farmer's markets. Tables set up with the freshest fruit and vegetables possible. Farmers who work from dawn to dusk working to plant, grow and harvest produce to sell for all of us to enjoy.

The Mount Pleasant Farmer's Market is like a Town Festival! There is something for everyone. If you have all the produce you need for the week, go to the market anyway. It's from 3:30 until 7pm. We had a refrigerator full of produce but decided to go and see if there was something we could purchase for dinner.

Wow! There's such a variety of vendors with everything from Lemonade and Kettle Korn to Fresh Shrimp that can be purchased and brought to the next vendor to steam for you! The Grand Oak Trees are the perfect shade cover over the picnic tables where people actually gathered and met new people while listening to the live music.

We drove our golf cart and were so surprised to see the nearby designated area for golf carts. It was such a wonderful community event. Strangers supporting local vendors and meeting people from the community who are no longer strangers. It's a great sight to see. And before you leave you can pick up a fresh flower bouquet and some fresh pasta.
