The Co-op: Hidden Gem of Sullivan's Island

The Co-op may appear like an ordinary beach market and sandwich shop from the outside, but inside it is hiding one of the true gems of Sullivan's Island. Besides an array of deli sandwiches, wines, and handcraft beers, The Co-Op is home to their now world-renown Frose. What is Frose, you may be wondering? For those who don't know, Frose is Rose wine that has been chilled and mixed with fruits and sugar.

Frose comes in a wide variety of flavors such as pomegranate, passion fruit, blackberry lavender, blueberry mojito, and their specialty OG (strawberry.) A word of caution, these drinks are made strong! Enjoy a 16-ounce cup for $11 or buy a whole bottle for just $18.

If you are in the mood for lunch, be sure to also sample one of the Co-op's gourmet sandwiches. The California turkey with bacon, avocado, tomato, and sprout did not disappoint.
