Wando River Life has Swig and Swine!

Three years ago, residents in North Mt Pleasant were blessed with Swig and Swine! It’s located in North Mt. Pleasant on Hwy. 41 beside the Wando River Bridge in Shipyard Park.

Growing up in Cayce, our community had Piggy Park, Hite’s, and Shealy’s BBQ. My dad‘s love and habitual eating of BBQ made me the BBQ connoisseur I am today. 

My taste buds tell me it’s the best place in our area to enjoy delicious southern BBQ. Their secret is cooking the meat low and slow and savor all the natural juices to lock in that iconic smoked flavor. The informal atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy the lay-back life while you chow down on your mouth-watering meal. 

The menu offers a great variety for BBQ lovers. The traditional southern favorites include pork pulled BBQ, ribs, and BBQ chicken are featured. Delicacies like prime rib brisket, pork belly, and homemade sausage highlight the menu. I enjoy their scrumptious dry-rubbed wings compliment with whatever I order. If you wish, finish it off with their delicious corn pudding. 

You can select the sauce of your choice. Swig and Swine offers a variety of sauces to choose from: vinegar-based, mustard-based, white sauce, dark red, and jalapeno dark red.
