Wannamaker Park - Splash Paw Zone

A great addition to Charleston County Parks for our four-legged friends!

As summer heats up, the heat limits our pets' outdoor activities.  However, at Wannamaker Park, they have an exciting solution to the heat for our pets!  They changed the dog park to suit most dogs during the summer. They have moved the dog park area and updated it as the Splash Paw Zone. The Splash Paw Zone is ideal for dogs that love to play in the water to keep cool. The dog run area is still separated to accommodate different sizes of dogs with one for 25 pounds and under and one for 26 pounds and over. The zones have benches that you can sit in and watch your pets play as well.

After a hard playtime as we all know our pets can smell less than desirable.  The park has installed a solution to make the ride home a more pleasant one by having a dog wash station where you can wash and dry your pet before heading home.

This new park makes the park more enjoyable.
