Berkeley County:        1,103 properties                 3,767 properties
 
Dorchester County:    800 properties                    2,803 properties 
                                        
 
Median home prices vary greatly in the Charleston area:  (see also:  the-bling-of-charleston-the-arts)
 
Berkeley County           $213,000 however, on Daniel Island the median home price is $568,500
Dorchester County:     $215,000
 
And in Charleston County, the median home price varies greatly:
 
Mount Pleasant                        $437,000
James/Johns Island/Folly     $310,000
West Ashley                               $265,000
D'town Peninsula                     $568,500
North Charleston                     $177,000
