We love to move ! 
When I came first to the United States, I learned that people like to move to a new house every few years and prefer just a 12 months lease on a property. That was very foreign to me.
In Germany, where is was born, we basically stay in our home "forever" and nobody would sign just a one year lease ! No, we love to settle, move in, stay in and only move, if there is a serious reason like an earthquake.
I moved to Buffalo NY and soon found out that my husband liked to move. In the first 5 years here, we probably moved 4 times to different places in Buffalo NY and over the next years, we moved to different cities and town in the US. And I liked it !!
According to a statistic, I found on the Internet, for the 4th year in a row, the "Northeast" saw a wave of "Outbound" traffic attributed to more and more people relocating to warmer climates.
Oregon held the top rank of "Inbound" States for the 3rd year in a row, followed by South Carolina !

Well, if you think about moving to South Carolina, look for me for real estate advice and area information in the Greater Charleston area. South Carolina is lovely, not backward as some people believe. SC is progressive and thriving and full of adventure. Yup, and it is a lot warmer than Buffalo NY !!
