Who Doesn't Like Pizza?

Do you know anyone who doesn’t like pizza?

If I listed my faves, you might think I might be biased. So, I conducted a week-long survey on NextDoor in North Mt Pleasant and asked, “What is your favorite pizza and why?” There were 49 participants and, of course, 53 answers - Some people just make up their minds! Only included positive comments at that!

These are the results:

1. There was a tie for first. Orlando’s and La Pizzeria. (9 votes each)

These are authentic comments of the fans of Orlando and La Pizzeria:

• I love Orlando’s pizza on Daniel island but it’s so far we rarely get over there. If you’re already in that area, give it a try!
• I have had Orlando’s. The jalapeño pizza is my fave from there.
• Orlando pizza is in Mt Pleasant now, as well as Daniel Island. Great pizza!! LaPizzeria is also good, voted best pizza in Mt Pleasant, they are open.
• I am Italian and grew up in NY and pizza was phenomenal. La Pizzeria owners are from Sicily and their pizza is delicious.
• La pizzeria has been our favorite since we moved here. Consistent quality every time.
• Nothing REALLY compares with NY/NJ pizza, but LaPizzeria is as close as you can get. It's really good pizza. The reason NY/NJ pizza cannot be completely duplicated here is the water. Same with bagels. The water in NY/NJ makes the dough better.

3. Grimaldi’s at Towne Center came in third. (7 votes)
