Kayaking in Charleston

The Lowcountry is the right place for water sports of all kinds!  Whether you're into paddle boarding, surfing, swimming, you have plenty of choices on where to make a splash.  

When we lived in NJ we had an inflatable, tandem kayak.  Pretty cumbersome to say the least. When we moved to Mt. Pleasant my husband purchased 2 new sit on top kayaks. I was a little hesitant to go it alone in my own kayak but I managed.  I preferred to go in the more remote areas like the Wando River.  My husband has kayaked in many places in Charleston especially Shem Creek.  He has also taken our cockapoo puppy Bubba and he Loved it!  He has his own little life jacket and just sits with his face to the breeze!  

We have since purchased ANOTHER tandem kayak this time a sit on top or ocean kayak. (no not inflatable) Now we can all go together, my husband, Bubba and me!  Can I interest anyone in an inflatable kayak???

As I mentioned there's plenty of water in Charleston...beaches like Folly, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms.  Water parks for kids and rivers for all to boat and enjoy the sun and surf.  Get out today and try something new...you might just Love it!
