Great 1st time homes...Great price point! Long Leaf Homes for Sale,Donna Andreano

When you're looking for a reasonably priced home, one with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and you find a neighborhood that was built in 2006 and you think you can't afford it...think again! The best price point for a newer, first home in the Charleston area is $200,000. There are homes priced below $200k but they are most likely much older and in need of some updating. I just recently listed a house at 175 Wildberry Lane in the Long Leaf subdivision off of Liberty Hall Rd. in Goose Creek. It listed for $205,000. and we had multiple offers on the first day! Because it was built in 2006 it has more updated finishes, large rooms, better windows, doors etc.  You can own a house like this for less than it costs to rent a house like this!  I have lenders who can help you find out how much of a mortgage you can afford. If you already have a lender they should have told you that you can buy a home with a good interest rate, as long as you have good credit (640 or higher). Any credit lower would raise your interest rate. You can also buy a home with 3.5% of the purchase price as a downpayment. Which means, on a $200k home you'd need $7000. as a downpayment!  There are homes all over the Charleston Tri-county area in all different settings and price points.
