First Time Homebuyers - I got you ! ,Ute Appleby

There is nothing finer than buying your own place, right!? Love working with first home buyers! Love our Millenials! They ask questions which I think everybody should know the answer to and they look for things which make me gasp and they point out things I never thought about. I received a referral and called the gentleman. No answer to calls or emails, and so after 3 or 4 attempts I text and get an answer in 5 seconds. He texts me that he is looking for a condo, no yard, no work. He just wants to move in, must have a garage and storage, a couple of showers, a place for his car and surfboard and work-out equipment. So I text him back: are you pre-qualified, talked to a lender? Answer: ?? I have some money, yes, I am qualified. And so I text back: Before we look we need to get a letter of some sort that you can get financed"; Text: "ok"....... Well, he finally comes in and meets up with a lender who issues him a pre-approval letter. And so he texts me: "I want to look at places today, preferably after 6 pm or tomorrow but not on weekends and not Wednesdays or Fridays". I do what I can to get it set up we go out and look at a few places. Phone always in his hands, checking the distance to work, to the gym, and to the favorite club and restaurant. We walk thru the properties and we check for showers, for garage space, for the size of the master bedroom closet, size of the fridge and making sure fridge has an ice maker. He likes one of the properties, we make an offer and offer gets accepted. Questions: When do I get the key? Will the lender write a check to my account so I can pay for the house? Wow, it does not come with the furniture? Oh, I was not prepared for that. Termites? What is that? Home inspection? Why? Appraisal? Why? Amenities? Not important. Quiet?  oh no, please don't tell me !!. Resale value in 2 years? No, I do not want to stay here. No plan for a family and kids. No dogs, either...Gotto to be independent and free and when the next job comes along, I just want to go. Well, I love working with first-timers, with Millennials. Exciting, fun and refreshing, keeping me on my toes. We are closing next week and the housewarming party is already planned. I will be there, as cool as I can be. ;-) And so, if you like to work with a really cool realtor, check me out on my website: www.DefinitelyCharleston.com or simply download my mobile app HERE which is always up-to-date!
